DERMALOG awarded!

The future of the e-passport is being decided in Hamburg! DERMALOG develops AFIS systems, Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems – and is the only company in Germany to do so. These systems enable fingerprints to be compared in enormous databases. This biometric technology curbs identity theft and is used worldwide in the fight against crime. For this purpose, DERMALOG has developed a combined AFIS, which enables both civilian as well as criminal inquiries. With some success: in 2005, the Hamburg-based company was the victor at the largest European biometrics test at Frankfurt Airport. As a result, DERMALOG is now confidently setting itself a goal: to become the global market leader. Whether it be in registration systems, social security offices, weapons registration or in the organization of elections, the potential applications of AFIS technology are immense. And it even helps combat violent crime.
