Deutscher Gründerpreis 2006
With its nomination for the best business start-up (Deutscher Gründerpreis), DERMALOG has once again impressively demonstrated its expertise. The presentation ceremony took place as part of a television show in Berlin. "From an international perspective, Europe continues to be a biometrics wilderness. We would like to change that," declared Günther Mull of DERMALOG. The company supplies AFIS, systems that provide split-second identification of people by means of their fingerprints. "We would like to integrate biometrics into everyday life," stated Günther Mull. "That way, we can replace all the different passwords and PINs that people need. That is not just more user-friendly, but also significantly more secure." DERMALOG has already taken the first steps in the realization of this vision of the future. A system is currently in the works which will enable shoppers to pay at the supermarket with a fingerprint.
